Kendal & Richard | Payette Lake Engagement Session

Some evenings just feel extra special, and our time with Kendal and Richard was one of those evenings.

We began their engagement session at a private common area shared by their neighborhood, tucked along the shores of beautiful Payette Lake. This place holds so much sentimental value for their family, which made it incredibly meaningful to begin their session there. It was especially sweet knowing that this is also where they plan to host their welcome dinner the evening before their wedding next year. We love when a location isn’t just beautiful, but carries pieces of a couple’s story and family history with it.

The evening couldn’t have been more perfect. The light was beautiful, the lake was calm, and we had the sweetest time getting to know Kendal and Richard. From the very beginning, they felt less like clients and more like old friends. They are two of the kindest people, and spending the evening laughing, exploring, and capturing this season of their lives was such a joy.

For the second half of their session, we made our way to North Beach in McCall, where somehow we ended up with the entire beach to ourselves. And it was absolutely exquisite. The shoreline, the mountains, the soft evening light—it was one of those Idaho evenings that reminds us exactly why we love what we do.

Kendal and Richard, we are so grateful you chose us to capture this season for you. We loved getting to spend this evening together, and we are already looking forward to next year when we get to celebrate your wedding day with you. We have a feeling it is going to be something very special.
