There is something so incredibly special about a wedding day that is intentionally small. Lisa and Dan chose to celebrate their marriage surrounded only by their immediate family, and it created one of the most meaningful, beautiful days we’ve had the honor of witnessing. Under a clear blue sky in Sun Valley, with just enough snow covering the ground to feel like winter magic, their day felt peaceful, personal, and full of joy.
One of the most unforgettable parts of their day was arriving at their ceremony at Trail Creek Cabin by horse-drawn carriage. The Clydesdales were absolutely stunning, and there was something about the quiet rhythm of the ride, bundled up in the crisp mountain air, that made the whole experience feel almost timeless. It set the tone for a day that wasn’t rushed or overdone, but instead deeply intentional.
Their ceremony was filled with so much heart. Lisa included her children in such a meaningful way, inviting each of them to share a reading during the ceremony. Their words blended so beautifully with Lisa and Dan’s vows—moments of laughter woven together with quiet, meaningful emotion. It was one of those ceremonies where you could truly feel the love not just between the couple, but surrounding them from every direction.
Afterward, we all returned to The Grill at Knob Hill for an intimate dinner that felt more like a family gathering than a formal reception. Every detail of the day was thoughtfully and beautifully executed by Sierra and Shadaya with Little Bird Events—they were truly on top of every detail and made the entire day feel seamless. Lisa and Dan’s wedding was a reminder that it’s not about how big a wedding is—it’s about how deeply it reflects the people at the center of it. And this day reflected them perfectly.
