A Dreamy Winter Engagement in Cascade

Meeting Mandy and Harpreet for their engagement session in Cascade was such a joy. Right before their session, we experienced one of the few snowstorms we’ve had this winter, leaving everything covered in a light layer of fresh, powdery snow. It created the most dreamy winter wonderland setting as we explored some of our favorite spots along the Payette River and Cascade Lake.

It’s funny because this has been one of the poorest snow years we’ve seen since living here, yet we’ve still had several beautiful winter engagement sessions. Mandy and Harpreet’s was no exception. The light dusting of snow gave us all the beauty of winter without having to trudge through deep drifts, which made wandering from spot to spot even more enjoyable.

These two were so fun and adventurous during their session. At one point, we tried to make it look like it was snowing by tossing snow up into the air… but the wind had other plans. It suddenly shifted and sent the snow right back onto them! Nothing like an unexpected blast of cold snow to bring on the laughter, and it made for such a memorable moment.

Mandy and Harpreet share so many of the same interests—skiing, camping, hiking, and a mutual love of dogs. In fact, even though it was cold, they were still talking about the idea of camping! We absolutely loved getting to spend the evening with them and can’t wait for their wedding next summer in Stanley. If their engagement session is any indication, their wedding day is going to be filled with joy, adventure, and plenty of laughter.
