We’ve had the joy of walking with Sara and Ken through their engagement season, so getting to photograph their wedding day at The Lively in downtown Boise felt like the perfect full-circle moment. These two are just the kindest people! They are gracious, joyful, and full of warmth and Sara has this incredible, radiant smile that lights up every space she enters.

Their May wedding day was exactly what you hope for in spring, sunny and warm, but not too hot. Downtown Boise had a glow to it, and The Lively was the perfect setting to bring their vision to life. A Dreamy Floral Touch

Sara loves flowers, and you could feel that in every detail. The arrangements from Soulflower Design Studio were absolutely stunning! Lush, romantic, and vibrant without being overdone. The blooms were woven into the space in such an artful way, adding a softness to the modern architecture of The Lively. The florals were a love story all their own that was colorful, expressive, and full of life.

The Lively: An Unforgettable Wedding Experience

Let’s talk about the food…because The Lively absolutely nailed it. The chef created a wedding menu that was a total 10 out of 10. Every single course was bursting with flavor, presented beautifully, and left guests raving. You could genuinely feel the love and creativity that went into each plate. It wasn’t just a meal, it was a full culinary experience.

But the food was only part of what made The Lively wedding experience so special. The staff was phenomenal. Attentive, warm, and professional, they helped the entire day feel seamless. Sara and Ken had rented out the entire restaurant for their wedding, which gave the whole day an intimate, elevated vibe. The layout of the venue encouraged conversation and connection. It felt like the perfect mix of celebration and comfort, chic and welcoming.

We can’t say enough good things about what it’s like to photograph a wedding at The Lively. The light, the architecture, the energy of downtown Boise just outside the doors. It all came together to create the perfect backdrop for a spring wedding.

A Community Full of Joy

One of the sweetest parts of the day was getting to spend more time with Sara and Ken’s friends and family. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. You could tell how loved these two are by the people around them. It was truly a celebration full of laughter, tears, and genuine joy.

There was such a fun surprise for us! We got to reconnect with not just one, but two of our past Cimbalik Couples at Sara and Ken’s wedding! It’s always the biggest compliment when our couples refer us to their friends, and it honestly felt like a mini-reunion. Getting to see those familiar faces and share hugs, stories, and memories made the day even more meaningful.
