Elegant Meets Urban: Sara & Ken’s Downtown Boise Engagement Story

There are some people you meet who instantly feel like old friends. Sara and Ken are exactly that kind of couple. From the moment we met them for their downtown Boise engagement session, we knew this was going to be such a fun and easy evening.

We kicked things off at Freak Alley, one of Boise’s most iconic spots for local art and creativity. Sara and Ken chose to wear their most formal outfits for this part of the session, and it was such a fun juxtaposition, elegant attire set against colorful, gritty alleyways bursting with personality. Sara looked absolutely stunning in her gown, and we loved that they gave themselves permission to get so dressed up. It made the whole space feel even more magical.

After Freak Alley, we made our way toward the Idaho State Capitol, soaking in all the charm of downtown Boise. The light was soft, the city was buzzing, and these two couldn’t stop smiling at each other. Whether they were walking hand-in-hand or sneaking a sweet little forehead kiss, it was obvious how much love they share.

We wandered through a few more favorite downtown spots, laughing the whole way, and ended the evening at Soft Landing, a cozy soft-serve ice cream shop that served up the perfect sweet treat to wrap things up.

Sara and Ken are truly two of the kindest, most genuine people we’ve met. So warm, so welcoming and by the end of the evening, we honestly felt like we could be their best friends. Their love is joyful and full of laughter, and we feel so lucky to be a part of their story.
