A Gorgeous, Winter Engagement Session in Cascade, Idaho

Cascade gave us all the seasons for Lauren and Bryce’s winter engagement session in Cascade, Idaho — and we loved every minute of it.

This shoot was extra special because it was also a maternity session. These two are not only preparing for their wedding, but also getting ready to welcome their first little one — and we couldn’t be more excited for them.

March and April weather in the mountains is famously unpredictable, and this winter engagement session was no exception. We kept checking the forecast, unsure whether we’d get rain or snow, or maybe even a bit of both. When we arrived, the weather was calm and beautiful — soft light, snow-covered trees, total winter wonderland vibes. But just as we got into our groove, a surprise snowstorm swept in. Big, fluffy flakes filled the sky, and within minutes it turned into a full-on blizzard. We had to retreat to our vehicles for about 15 minutes to wait it out.

And then, just as quickly as it came, the storm passed. The sky opened up again, the trees sparkled, and we were back at it. Honestly, it felt kind of magical — like the mountains were putting on a show just for Lauren and Bryce. It was such a unique moment that made this winter engagement session in Cascade, Idaho one we’ll never forget.

Lauren and Bryce were total naturals, taking everything in stride and fully embracing the adventure. Watching them together — laughing, snuggling, soaking in this season of life — was the kind of thing that reminds us why we love doing what we do.

We’re so excited for these two as they begin their journey into marriage and parenthood. Their winter engagement session in Cascade, Idaho was everything we hoped it would be: joyful, romantic, and full of love — with a little mountain drama thrown in for good measure.
