A Beautiful Late Summer Wedding in Sun Valley, Idaho

There are some wedding days that feel like they belong in a dream, and Katie and Jared’s late summer wedding in Sun Valley, Idaho, was certainly one of them. With the most beautiful weather, stunning mountain scenery, and so many thoughtful details, their wedding day was an absolute joy to photograph.

Katie looked absolutely incredible in her wedding dress. It was literal perfection on her, and she carried herself with such grace and elegance that she looked like royalty. Shawna Hines of SH Hair and Makeup did a stunning job with her hair and makeup, creating a timeless, polished look that complemented Katie so beautifully. Every detail came together effortlessly, allowing her natural beauty to shine.

One thing that stood out to us about Katie and Jared is just how intentional they are with the people in their lives. They took the time to write every single guest a handwritten card, filling each one with so many thoughtful words. We were genuinely blown away by the care and intentionality behind such a personal gesture. In the middle of all the excitement of planning a wedding, they made sure each person who came to celebrate with them knew just how much they meant. It was such a beautiful reflection of who they are, and it was clear throughout the weekend that they love their people incredibly well, and that love is returned in abundance. Looking around at the people gathered to celebrate them, it was easy to see just how deeply they are loved.

The floral design by Bloom Floral was another highlight of the day. The flowers were simply breathtaking! Beautiful arrangements brought so much color, romance, and elegance to the celebration, and we couldn’t get enough of them. We love seeing how talented floral designers transform a space and bring a couple’s vision to life, and this wedding was such a beautiful example of that.

We also loved the entertainment throughout the day. DJ Matt Phillips provided both DJ services and live music during cocktail hour, which was such a fun touch. The live music created a wonderful atmosphere as guests gathered, enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, and celebrated Katie and Jared.

One of our favorite things about photographing weddings is getting to work alongside so many talented people who care deeply about creating an incredible experience for their couples. From the thoughtful details to the seamless flow of the day, this wedding was a testament to what happens when a wonderful couple is surrounded by an equally wonderful team. Amanda Seaward from Absolute Weddings was wonderful to work with, and the Sun Valley staff was incredible. We were so grateful to be part of such a special celebration.

Katie and Jared, thank you for inviting us to document such a beautiful weekend. It was such a joy to celebrate alongside you and preserve these memories. Sun Valley provided the most beautiful setting, but the best part was getting to capture the beginning of this new chapter in your lives together.
