Idaho Mountain Engagement Session

There are some evenings in the Idaho mountains that feel almost too perfect to be real—and our evening with Madison and Tyler was one of them. We met these two at one of our favorite spots above Cascade, where we were greeted with soft skies, light cloud cover, and the most beautiful, gentle evening light. Even better, we were thankful to have clear skies and no smoke surrounding us, especially knowing that not long afterward, wildfire smoke would settle into the area.

Madison and Tyler brought such a sweet, easygoing energy to their session. Their love for each other was effortless to photograph, and we loved watching the two of them simply enjoy being together as we explored the mountains. The wildflowers were absolutely incredible, with pops of nearly every color scattered across the landscape. Everywhere we turned seemed to offer another beautiful backdrop.

This location has also been affected by wildfire, which meant we got to explore some areas we hadn’t photographed before and discover new little pockets of beauty. There’s something special about returning to a familiar place and finding that, even after change and loss, there are still beautiful things growing and new stories waiting to be documented.

Madison and Tyler are planning a beautiful Idaho wedding next June, with their ceremony at Ponderosa State Park and reception at McCall City Golf Course. We can’t wait to see their wedding day come together!
