An Adventure Session in the Idaho Mountains with Jess and Kaia

There’s something really special about photographing someone who just gets it. Jessica is a photographer herself, so she knows how meaningful it is to be on the other side of the camera. She also, has an adorable Golden Retriever named, Kaia. As Golden lovers this made us to happy!

Jessica loves Jesus. Period. That kind of love and joy just radiates from her, and it was such a blessing to spend the evening with her and Kaia in the mountains. As fellow believers, it’s always so meaningful to meet someone whose faith touches everything they do, even something as simple as a photo session. Her heart for the Lord shines in the way she loves and lives, and it was a privilege to capture a little piece of that.

We’re also firm believers that everyone should have a session with their beloved pet. Dogs like Kaia are such a big part of our lives, and capturing that bond is something you’ll never regret. They bring so much love and joy into our everyday, and having those moments frozen in time — the way they look at you, the way they just belong by your side — is priceless.

We chose one of our favorite spots up in the mountains near our home. Last year, wildfires sadly swept through much of the area, and many of our go-to places were burned. This was actually our first session back up there since the fires, and it felt like a little adventure as we explored and found new areas untouched by the flames. Even though it looked different than before, it was so much fun to discover fresh beauty in unexpected places.

Jessica and Kaia were the perfect pair to photograph in such a meaningful setting. Full of light, love, and so much joy.!
