Dark, rolling thunder clouds dawned over Shore Lodge. Even though it was an August day that was normally filled with loads of sunshine, this day the sky was filled with depth and dramatic clouds. The air was cool and fresh. Nervous glances up to the sky hoped that it would hold off until the ceremony finished. No one knew what a close call that it would be.

Amanda and Ryan’s wedding was simply beautiful. Filled to overflowing with laughter and happy tears. They were surrounded by their closest family and friends. They sealed everything with a kiss and with the biggest smiles began the walk back down the dock to their reception.

Not even three minutes later the clouds couldn’t hold back any longer! It began to POUR. It was as though all the emotion of happy burst open the clouds. This was not a light summer rain mind you. This was a downpour! The kind that soaks you to the bone in a matter of seconds. We couldn’t believe the timing. We all stood in awe. Safely watching the raindrops pelt onto the beautiful Payette Lake. It was really magical!

A quick side note. Don’t you just love Amanda’s Vera Wang lavender dress? We just love it when brides stay true to themselves and do something “non-traditional”. Amanda was THE perfect bride to wear this stunning gown. We were swooning over it all day.

Amanda + Ryan! Your wedding was simply beautiful! You both have the kindest hearts and we are so happy to know you! SO many beautiful and wonderful adventures await you! Thank you for letting us photograph your lovely day!
