We are so grateful to live in a place that shows off the beauty of October. This past weekend did not disappoint! The fall colors were on display in their full glory! When we first met with Heather and Craig we connected immediately when we found out they were getting married the first weekend in October at Tamarack Resort! We also chose to get married on the first weekend of October. Although we knew that it held the best possibility of gorgeous fall colors we also knew that with that held the possibility of the typical weather that comes in the mountains of Idaho this time of year. We actually had to change venues at the last minute to account for the winter storm that was moving in on our wedding day! It ended out working out better than we could have imagined but not without some pre-wedding stress.

Heather and Craig had some rain forecasted for their wedding day and did their best to prepare and stay positive. They brought rain boots and umbrellas just in case. Even though Saturday did bring some rain, when portrait time came around, the sun peeked out! The wonderful thing about having your big day at Tamarack is that they are set up to host weddings in all sorts of weather! The Arling Center at Tamarack Resort offers gorgeous indoor options for both your ceremony and your reception that are perfect for weddings in the cooler months and outdoor spaces if you have warmer weather or you can do a mix of both! It is so versatile. The possibilities are endless! If you are a bride planning a winter wedding or a wedding on a date when weather could be a bit temperamental, you couldn’t go wrong by choosing Tamarack Resort Arling Center as a ceremony and reception venue.

Also, we need to talk about how everyone needs a sister-in-law like Heather has! Jen poured so much love, planning and talent into beautiful decor and atmosphere of the wedding. All her and her team’s hard work absolutely paid of to create such a gorgeous space! We absolutely love that they kept things so clean and classic by sticking with the whites, ivories and greenery. It was really stunning and complemented the gorgeous colors of autumn without competing with them.

Heather and Craig, we want to thank you so very much first of all for being so fun! You are are such a vibrant couple and your love of laughter is contagious! We couldn’t be happier for the two of you to begin married life together! We feel so privilege to have been able to document your gorgeous day through our lenses. It was truly such an honor!
