The way he looks into her eyes. The way her eyes look back at him. It’s a love that is so deep and evident to all who witness it. The way he makes her smile. A smile that lights up every room she walks into. The way she makes him laugh. Not just any laugh. The kind of laugh that makes him throw his head back and belly laugh. The way he holds her like the treasure she is. The way she kisses him with love and holds him back. Their love is inspiring and a perfect fit for one another.
Saturday was a blustery day at Matlena’s Farm. Summer finally gave way to the changing seasons. With that came alot of weather that was less than ideal for the outside wedding these two had dreamt of. Even though it wasn’t what they had envisioned, they kept the important things in focus and didn’t let all the last minute changes take away from the fact that they were getting married. We were just so proud of them for that! We kept a close eye on our rain app and we were able to take full advantage of some of the time where the rain slowed down a bit. Shani was even able to get ready a bit faster so we could beat the storm abit.
All in all it was a beautiful day! As they said, “It was perfectly imperfect!” We just feel so grateful to have had such a special part in documenting their beautiful day. Each wedding we have the privilege of photographing is such a gift. A gift we never take lightly. Our couple and their family’s allow us into such an intimate and special time in their lives and we are so grateful for that.
Shani + Mikey,
Where on earth do we even begin with you two? First, We adore you both! From the day we met you on your beautiful engagement session, you guys have been such a bright spot in our lives. We are so incredibly happy for you both as you begin this next chapter together! Marriage is the best and we know you will make it great! When hard times come, and they will because, LIFE, we want you to look back thru your wedding pictures and let them inspire you again the way your love inspires so many around you. Fight for the love that you have. Then when good times come, and they will because, LIFE, make new memories to build your foundation of love. Thank you for your love for us and how you trusted us to capture your beautiful day!! Sending you so much love! Second, this better not be the end! We can’t wait till the next time we get to hang out with you! 🙂
Hugs!
