One by one couples left the dance floor. Her wrinkled hands held tight to his as they swayed back and forth to the music. He looked at her with such love in his eyes. There was such comfort found in each others arms. A comfort only found after years and years of togetherness. When the music faded and the DJ asked her what was the secret for the 50+ years of marriage she replied, “He’s the love of my life!” Tears sprung to our bride’s eyes as she watched her grandparents with such admiration.
Watching this beautiful moment took us back a few hours earlier during the ceremony. “Some people say that there isn’t anything as beautiful as young love,” the officiant paused. “But there is something more beautiful than young love and that is old love.” We couldn’t agree more! There is so much to celebrate in mature love. The journey that marriage takes you on is an adventure that forces you to cling tight to each other.
Patrick and Rachel were truly present in their day. They let their hearts feel deeply and enjoy all of the sweet and tender moments. So many happy tears. It’s really beautiful when we get to watch out couples emotionally invest in their weddings.
Rachel and Patrick, we hope when you look back through these images some of those emotions will be felt and the memories of your beautiful day will come flooding back. Enjoy this young love but just wait because it just keeps getting sweeter! Keep putting each other first and enjoy this wonderful journey of marriage.
