One by one the bridesmaids came down the isle. As each one approached the emotion in his soul continued to build. Tears began to well. Everyone stood. His eyes searched the crowd for a tiny glimpse of her. His bride. His best friend. His almost-wife. Then as her father lead her around the corner, he saw her. And the emotion could not be held down. After over seven years of friendship they were now committing the rest of their lives to standing side by side and hand in hand. The wind blew and the storm set in but he didn’t even notice because in that moment all that mattered to him was Jennifer.
This day definitely held some unexpected surprises. The biggest one being the storm that decided to make an appearance on the summit when it was time for the ceremony to begin. Everyone was in their places. Snuggled together for a little extra warmth. Jennifer and her dad were on their way to the top of the summit riding the ski lift. There was anticipation in the air. Then, not far from the top, the lift lost power. This resulted in leaving Jennifer and her dad stranded for a good twenty minutes in the cold and wind chill.
This could be enough to ruin someones day, but Jennifer remained calm and enjoyed being serenaded by her bridesmaids. After a while the generator kicked on and the ceremony began. Later during his toast, Jennifer’s dad mentioned that he had, “Enjoyed being able to hang out with his daughter a little bit longer before he gave her away. ”
Even though some things didn’t go as planned it was one of the most beautiful and memorable days we have ever been apart of. The love these two have for each other and for the Lord is truly awe-inspiring and such a joy to witness firsthand.
Jennifer + Micah, Where do we begin? We are so grateful to have been apart of your gorgeous wedding. It was truly beautiful to watch you two navigate your first “storm” on your first day as husband and wife. You handled the ups and downs with such grace and we hope that you will look back on your wedding day with so much fondness and remember all of those who came to love and support you! We wish you the absolute best as you continue life together as husband and wife!
Much Love!
