Weddings don’t have to be big and elaborate to be beautiful and celebrate two people joining their lives together. In fact, sometimes, simple is better and that is just what Kris and Summer wanted. They wanted their wedding to be a reflection of them and didn’t want to be bound by normal traditions that come with planning a wedding. The focus of their wedding was on the love and friendship that they share with each-other and with those around them. Their desire was for it to be a joyful celebration and that it was!! It was a fun, casual, and relaxed backyard wedding with perfect weather, laughter, pizza and cupcakes. Which let’s be honest, who doesn’t love some pizza and cupcakes!?

During portrait time we snuck away to the Weiser Train Depot. This was really special because Kris’s grandfather worked for Union Pacific for many, many years and Kris remembers visiting his grandfather there while he was growing up. It was special to take photos at someplace that had such a special meaning to our groom.
