Wedding season begins for us tomorrow! We couldn’t be more excited! The fact that we get to do what we love absolutely blows us away. Lauren and Steve’s wedding is later this month and it is going to be AMAZING. We have grown love these two and couldn’t be more excited to be apart of their day. We shot their engagement session last summer and it was amazing! Living in the mountains gives us knowledge and access to all the prettiest places. This spot is one of our favorites and when the lupine are in full bloom and you add in these two, it is simply dreamy!

We just love engagement sessions!  All of our collections come with a complimentary engagement session . We do this because we find it so incredibly valuable to have a session prior to the wedding. Doing this does so many things. It allows us to get to know you both personally and photographically in a no pressure situation. We have a lot of fun! It also will allow you to get to know our shooting style and learn some of the core poses that we have.  This also helps us to know which poses work best for you. Not everyone has experience modeling. Let’s be honest, 80% of our couples have never had professional pictures taken. 🙂

After taking MANY classes on how to pose our clients we have cultivated a posing system that is fun, easy and gives lots of diversity. Having an engagement session allows you to learn the poses and all our little tips and tricks that will teach you how to look your best in every picture you have taken in the future. We then like to know what your favorites poses and images were from the session so we know what kind of pictures to focus on more during the wedding. Even if you have the session just a week or a month before the wedding, it’s super beneficial.  We have has brides that have already had their engagement pictures taken but still invest the time to do a session with us because of the benefits it brings. To be really honest, we can tell such a difference on the wedding days of those who have had engagement sessions done prior. Everyone is a lot more at ease and we can knock out portrait time super fast! It takes a lot of the awkwardness out of the wedding day because then on your wedding day we feel more like friends than strangers.  We truly love and and appreciate the love and friendship that we have with our couples.
